Nicole Scherzinger embraces 80s night in a cleavage revealing fringed dress on X Factor live show

Saturday night was all about the eighties as The X Facto turned up the heat – and the dry ice – on the first live show of the series.
But while this year’s contestants dusted off a string of power ballads, two of the judging panel were vying to outdo each other in dresses that positively oozed early-eighties glam.
Indeed, both Nicole Scherzinger and returning Sharon Osbourne glittered beneath the bright lights at Fountain Studios after taking to the stage with fellow judges Gary Barlow and Louis Walsh.

The pair had clearly taken the eighties theme to heart, but it was former Pussycat Doll Nicole who came out on top courtesy of her stunning knee length evening dress with fringed gold overlay.
Her outfit came with an intricate mesh chest detail that gave viewers a peek at her ample cleavage as the foursome crossed the stage to rapturous applause.
Nicole completed her look with a pair of metallic hoop-earrings, while gold coloured heels gave an added twist to an outfit that perfectly embodied eighties couture.

The 35-year-old singer was in a tactile mood as she settled into her seat on the judging panel, appearing to blow the audience a kiss before leaning in to plant a kiss on Sharon’s cheek.
While Nicole stole the show, Mrs. O got the thumbs up in a sweeping emerald green evening gown ala Joan Collins in her Dynasty pomp.
The floor length affair was heavily embellished, while the distinctive shoulder-pads – an Eighties staple – offered an acknowledgement to the decade that inspired it.

Sharon completed the look with a pair of matching green earrings – the only accessory on show as she took her seat next to close pal Louis Walsh.
After a night of generally impressive performances it was one of the 61-year-old’s acts to be named as the first to sing for survival as the controversial new ‘flash voting’ system came into play.
Shelley Smith pulled out all the stops to win the judges over with a rendering of anthemic Heart track Alone.
But as the new system came into play - a ten-minute window in which viewers can vote for their favourite act – she scored the least, meaning she will be singing for her survival.
The act she will face in the sing-off will be revealed on Sunday night.
