Grown up and glam: X Factor singer Ella Henderson arrives for Brit Awards ditching vintage look for ladylike sophistication

She first stepped into the spotlight as a shy 16-year-old with a fondness for florals and vintage victory rolls on the X Factor.
Ella Henderson seemed keen to prove that she had grown up at the Brit Awards as she walked the red carpet in a stylish black cut out dress, styling her hair in tumbling gold locks which fell just below her chest.
Ella added a touch of sophistication to her grown-up look with dark nails, gold dangly earrings and black high heels.

The 18-year-old singer was clearly excited about attending the industry music awards, as she tweeted from the early hours of Wednesday:
'Morning!! Who's excited for the #Brits2014 ?!! X gonna be a fun night!! E x'
Adding just before she arrived for the ceremony:
'Big night tonight. Good luck to everyone who's up for a nomination at the #BRITs2014 Ella HQ x'
The teenage singer was clearly a little overwhelmed by the reception she received on the red carpet, as she tweeted after posing for photographers:
'Well that was mental. #redcarpet #BRITs2014 @BRITAwards x'

The futures looking bright for the young singer, who has just been voted the winner Virgin Media’s tips for 2014.

Ella is currently signed to Sony Music, and her debut album is schedule for release in March 2014
