    On Sunday night, the great and good of the television world took to the red carpet in Los Angeles for the 64th Annual Emmy Awards.
And just 24 hours later, it was the turn of the 2012 Inside Soap Awards, with a whole host of British TV's finest turning out for the bash. 
Leading the way were EastEnders stars Danielle Harold, Jacqueline Jossa and Hetti Bywater, who all showed off their enviable pins in cute minidresses.

And it's no wonder the trio were smiling so much, with EastEnders sweeping the board with seven awards.
They were joined on the red carpet at London's One Marylebone venue by Hollyoaks bombshell Rachel Shenton, who wowed in a black floor-length backless gown.
Showing off her curves in all their glory, the Cheryl Cole lookalike - who plays Mitzee Minniver in the Channel 4 soap - teamed her showstopping ensemble with a slick of red lipstick and a black sequin clutch bag.

Despite bowing out of her role in the BBC One soap earlier this year, Cheryl Fergison made sure to turn out to the soap bash - opting for a safe black dress and black leather knee-high boots.
Elsewhere, Lucy Dixon, who plays Tilly Evans in Hollyoaks, opted for a stylish tweed aqua jacket and skirt combo, while Tricia Penrose showed off her ample cleavage in a form-fitting cobalt blue number.

Dani Harman took a break from her training for Strictly Come Dancing for the evening, complementing her petite figure in a black lace skater dress with a Peter Pan collar. 
And Waterloo Road's Chelsee Healey didn't disappoint when it came to opting for one of her favoured garish gowns, as she walked the red carpet in a loud and proud animalprint dress with a daring thigh split.

The 2012 Inside Soap Awards, sponsored by boohoo.com, saw EastEnders walk away with an impressive seven awards, including Best Soap. 
Meanwhile, the coveted Best Actress prize went to Gillian Wright, who plays Jean Slater, and Best Newcomer was handed to Hetti Bywater for her portrayal of Lucy Beale.

Funniest female went to Tameka Empson for her role as Kim Fox for the second year running, while Ricky Norwood was crowned Funniest Male for his portrayal of gaffe-prone Arthur 'Fat Boy' Chubb.
With Charlie Brooks - who plays conniving Janine Butcher in the soap - bagging the Best Bitch award and newcomer David Witts winning Sexiest Male, it was a successful evening for EastEnders all round.

But Coronation Street wasn't left completely out in the cold, with soap bombshell Michelle Keegan taking home Sexiest Female for the fourth year running for her portrayal of the feisty Tina McIntyre, as well as Best-Dressed Soap Star sponsored by boohoo.com.
And adorable child star Simon Bain - who plays little Simon Barlow in the ITv1 soap - was awarded Best Young Actor.
Over at Hollyoaks, Emmett J Scanlan celebrated a double win by taking home Best Actor and Best Bad Boy for his portrayal as evil Brendan Brady.
