Skyfall set for triumph at this year's BAFTA awards with Judi Dench and Javier Bardem nominated... but Daniel Craig is left off the list

While Javier was nominated in the supporting actor category for his role as the villainous Silva, Judi received a nod for supporting actress after reprising her role as M.
But noticeably absent from the nominations was Bond himself, Daniel Craig, as well as the movie's director Sam Mendes.

Skyfall is also nominated for Outstanding British Film and Original Music - a nod to Adele who provided the hit Bond theme of the same name.
The film also picks up nods for Cinematography, Editing, Production Design and Sound.
Among other nominations, Argo, Lincoln and Les Miserables garnered the most nods ahead of the awards on Sunday February 10th.

Lincoln received 10 nominations, with Les Miserables and Life Of Pi following close behind with nine nods each.
Critical acclaim: Daniel Day-Lewis was nominated for Lincoln, with the film receiving 10 nods in total
Les Mis star Anne Hathaway will take on Judi, Amy Adams for The Master, Sally Field for Lincoln and Helen Hunt for The Sessions for supporting actress.
Meanwhile, Javier will face off with Alan Arkin for Argo, Philip Seymour Hoffman for the Master, Tommy Lee Jones for Lincoln and Christoph Waltz for Django Unchained.
In the two main categories, Bradley Cooper has been nominated for lead actor for his role in Silver Linings Playbook, while Daniel Day Lewis was nominated for Lincoln, Hugh Jackman for Les Miserables and Joaquin Phoenix for his role in The Master.
Ben Affleck, who also received a nominated for best director for his role helming Argo, is also up for lead actor for his role in the film.
For lead actress, Jessica Chastain has been nominated for her role in Zero Dark Thirty, Marion Cotillard for Rust And Bone, Jennifer Lawrence for Silver Linings Playbook, Helen Mirren for Hitchcock and Emmanuelle Riva for Amour.

Cinematic masterpiece: Ang Lee's Life Of Pi received nine nominations for this year's awards
The nominees for the awards were announced by Alice Eve and Jeremy Irvine at BAFTA headquarters in London.
Andrea Riseborough, who plays an IRA member turned MI5 informer in the film, has already been recognised for her performance with a nod in the shortlist for the EE Bafta Rising Star Award 2013.
The event, formally known as the EE British Academy Film Awards, will take place on Sunday February 10 at the Royal Opera House, in Covent Garden, with Stephen Fry hosting.
