As a Hollywood A-lister, Carey Mulligan is used to being centre of attention.
But the star was happy to take a backseat to husband Marcus Mumford at the Grammys on Sunday night, playing the role of doting wife as his band picked up the top prize of the evening.
Wearing an androgynous but chic black jumpsuit and tuxedo jacket, the Shame star looked over-the-moon as Mumford & Sons scooped Album of the Year at the prestigious ceremony.

With her husband taking the limelight for once, Carey was at the awards do in a support role, but still made an impact in her fashion-forward outfit.
Instead of a typical red carpet gown, the 27-year-old opted for a more edgy look, pairing the low-cut black jumpsuit with a manly but fitted suit jacket.
She clinched the loose-fitting outfit in at the waist with an oversized wooden belt and finished off the ensemble with a chunky gold necklace.

In keeping with her androgynous theme, Carey wore her blonde hair up in a chic knot, tied at the back of her head, with a half fringe falling over her face.
She opted for powerful but natural-looking make-up, pairing dark, smokey eyes with dark pink tinted lips and a shimmery glow.
Clutching her phone and a tiny bag, the British actress posed for photographs on the red carpet before slipping into the ceremony to sit by her husband's side.

The An Education actress sat amongst the English folk band throughout the ceremony and got up to give her husband an affectionate hug when their name was read out as the winner of Best Album.
The band had a great night at the US ceremony, picking up Album of the Year for Babel and for Long Form Music Video for Big Easy Express.
Carey's husband Marcus also wore a black suit jacket, watching his wife's, pairing it with a crisp white shirt and smart trousers.
