Dionne Bromfield visits St Lucia to remember godmother Amy Winehouse and get inspiration for her new album

It shocked the country when music icon Amy Winehouse passed away in 2011, and her goddaughter Dionne Bromfield felt it more than most.
In a bid to feel closer to the tragic star, the 17-year-old has travelled to the island of St Lucia to follow in Amy's footsteps and help preserve her legacy.
Seeing the trip as something of a pilgrimage and hoping to get inspiration for her third album, the teen starlet has visited the places where her godmother spent a lot of her time in the years leading up to her death.

'I want to continue Amy’s legacy. It’s an awful lot of pressure but also a massive compliment to think that I can. I was the last person she was with on stage and automatically people felt like that was saying something,' Dionne told The Mirror.
'I hadn’t been back here since I first came with Amy five years ago. I wanted to come back because of Amy and to see some of the places which she loved. Amy is definitely here with me,' she added.
Trying to get the full experience that Amy had, Dionne visited a number of the star's favourite haunts and the people she was closest to.

One of first stops was to pay a visit to 58-year-old Marjorie Lambert, who runs Cas-en-Bas bar next to Cotton Bay Village Resort and was dubbed Amy's 'second mama.'
The pair wrapped their arms around each other as the British star arrived, having what was clearly an emotional first meeting.
The young singer stayed at the Harlequin Blu hotel on the island, another of her godmother's favourite haunts, and honoured the late singer by recreating some of her recognisable poses.

Dionne was snapped strumming an acoustic guitar similar to Amy's on the beach and later jumped on to the back of a horse just like the Back To Black singer had done in 2009.
The singer, who is in the middle of penning a number of new songs, has admitted to writing one in Amy's honour:
'The song is called Black Butterfly. There was a black butterfly that flew in at Amy’s funeral and it landed on Kelly Osbourne’s shoulder,' she said.
Dionne was on stage with Amy just three days before she was found dead in her north London flat just over 18 months ago.
