Fifties Playboy magazines were my inspiration: Helena Christensen on her super sexy lingerie line - and how she got in shape to model it

She's used to modelling sexy lingerie but now Helena Christensen has turned her hand to designing it. And the Danish beauty has admitted she looked back to the women who were the sex sirens of their day for her creative ideas.
'Photographs of Eastern Europe in the '30s and '50s, Playboy magazines from the '50s and images of a young Jane Birkin (were my inspiration),' she told net-a-porter magazine
The model added that she's a great fan of vintage clothing and wanted this to be reflected in her new range for Triumph.

Her designs, some of which are created using handmade lace and others embellished with Swarovski crystals, were first unveiled last Autumn but have only just gone on sale in stores.
The range includes bras, knickers and camisoles - some in neutral and dusky hues, others in seductive black and further pieces use art-nouveau-inspired print.
Mother-of-one Helena, who has a 12-year-son named Mingus with former husband Norman Reedus, looks stunning with an enviable flat stomach and slim legs as she poses in the range herself.

While Helena is now enjoying her time as a designer - another collection for Triumph is in the works - she said she wouldn't rule out a return to the catwalk to showcase other people's styles.
