Making her mark: Juno Temple wins the public vote as she's handed the EE Rising Star Award at the BAFTAs

If she wanted to cement herself in the movie world, now Juno Temple has done it with a bang.
The Atonement actress was picked to win the EE Rising Star Award at Sunday night's BAFTA Awards.
And it makes it even more of an achievement as the 23-year-old's trophy was the only one to be voted for by the public.

Joining the likes of Kristen Stewart, Eva Green and Tom Hardy, who have all previously picked up the gong, Juno looked ecstatic as she took to the stage after hearing her name announced.
Wearing a white halterneck Stella McCartney gown with black detailing and a cinched in belt she showed off her style in front of the A-list crowd.
Now firmly cementing herself alongside them, she smiled as she was handed the prize.

While speaking into the mic she jokingly thanked her brother for 'getting his whole school to vote for me'.
And to top off the special evening she was even given a congratulatory hug from Anne Hathaway backstage.
The two ladies posed for photographs together after embracing in the touching cuddle.

The EE Rising Star Award is the only publicly-voted award presented at the EE British Academy Film Awards, and a hotly contested accolade for up and coming acting talent.
Juno was one of five international actors nominated for their exceptional talent and recognised as a true star in the making.
She beat the likes of Andrea Riseborough, Alicia Vikander, Elizabeth Olsen and Suraj Sharma to win the title.

Temple’s breakthrough came when she won the role of Cate Blanchett’s rebellious, brooding daughter in Notes on a Scandal.
This led to her appearance in the BAFTA- and Oscar-winning film Atonement, opposite Keira Knightley, James McAvoy and Saoirse Ronan.
Since then a variety of well received film roles have followed, most recently opposite Matthew McConaughey and Emile Hirsch in the darkly comic Killer Joe.
