The red carpet's smoking! Kate Hudson and Naomie Harris lead the glamour at the Elle Style Awards in fiery hues

It's one of the taboos of showbiz events - turning up in a scarlet frock to match the red carpet.
But Kate Hudson managed to do it to perfection on Monday night as she led the glamour at the Elle Style Awards in London.
The actress showed off her slim physique in the strapless Stella McCartney gown, emphasising her figure even more with the cut around her bust.

Her English rose complexion was shown off to the max in the bright ensemble which stood out more thanks to the intricate detailing embroidered up each side.
The 33-year-old kept the rest of her get-up relatively simple, with her blonde locks scraped back into an up 'do.
She accessorised with a small clutch bag and long black earrings, while she went for smokey eyes and see-through glossy lips.

But she wasn't the only one to make an impact on the night on what turned out to be a very fiery red carpet full of different scarlet and orange frocks.
Naomie Harris also went for bright in her orange Roksanda Ilincic Pre-Fall ’13 look 11 Dress and Nicholas Kirkwood AW12 heels.
Full to the brim of course with the most stylish of stars as they toasted the world of fashion, each model, actress and TV personality had ensured they were coiffed to perfection.
Next to walk the red carpet was Rosamund Pike, who kept it simple in a black shirt and skintight trousers with Nicholas Kirkwood heels, looking fresh with a wavy blonde bob.

Pixie Geldof also showed off her style in a navy tunic and trousers, writing on Twitter en route to the bash: 'Off to the Elle style awards, 70s vibe.'
It also seemed like Dolce & Gabbana was the designer of choice for some on the night with the likes of Leah Weller and Daisy Lowe opting for the brand.
Daisy opted to keep to her name with a black frock embellished with white flowers by the designer, while Leah went for an edgier black number.

Juno Temple, meanwhile, came fresh from Sunday night's BAFTAs after successfully picking up the coveted Rising Star Award.
And while she stunned in a frock at the film ceremony she went for more of an androgynous number for the Elle Style Awards.
The Atonement actress walked out for her photo session in a trouser suit.

But she wasn't the only star to shun the usual attire of dresses for trousers.
As well as Rosamund and Juno, Stella McCartney, Claudia Winkleman and Vicky McClure also opted for pants over skirts.
And it was down to the likes of Chloe Moretz to keep it girly thanks to her monochrome Stella McCartney frock.
TV presenter Laura Whitmore also went for a dress, opting for a mini bright yellow number.
Although despite it being an event of high fashion, there were a few blunders, too.
Katy B led the way for the faux pas of the evening by stepping out in bizarre tights with black marks up her legs.
Suzi Waterhouse also kept up with her quirky style in a printed trouser suit.
