Good casting: Kristin Kreuk of Beauty And The Beast lives up to title as she joins co-star Jay Ryan at New York Comic Con

Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan flashed their on-screen chemistry on Saturday at a New York Comic Con panel for their television show Beauty And The Beast.

The 30-year-old actress showed why she was cast as the beauty in the modern retelling of the fairytale classic.

Kristin looked simply stunning in a short red dress that featured a red, blue and purple floral print.

The gorgeous brunette had her hair down and opted for a light touch of make-up to accentuate her olive eyes and rosy cheeks.

Kristin revealed her lean pins when she waved to the audience as she crossed a stage in black and tan high-heel shoes.

She was joined by her handsome 32-year-old co-star Jay at the event.

Jay looked comfortably chic in a pair of green trousers, a green V-neck T-shirt, and grey sports coat.

Jay and Kristin sat next to each other as they fielded questions during a moderated panel discussion.

Kristin on the show portrays Catherine Chandler who was saved as a teenager by a mysterious creature upon witnessing her mother's murder.

Jay plays Vincent Keller, a former doctor who has the ability to turn into a beast following his participation as a soldier in an experimental military unit.

The show in January won the 2012 People's Choice Awards as the best New TV Drama.

Beauty And The Beast was renewed for a second season in April and its had its season two premiere on Oct. 7 on The CW Network.
