Taylor Swift sparkles in silver as she smashes prestigious Nashville Songwriters Association record with sixth win

The 23-year-old singer has had a series of failed relationships with male celebrities but that was the last thing on her mind as she became the only person to ever be named the Nashville Songwriters Association International’s Songwriter/Artist of the Year six times.
Taylor, who also remains the youngest person ever to win the award, picked up her prize in Nashville on Sunday.

And the star was dressed to impress in a sparkly shift dress and silver heels.
Taylor pulled her blonde hair back in a half-up style and wore minimal make-up as she was feted for her contributions to music.
She has now won this award more times than any other songwriter/artist, surpassing five-time winners Vince Gill and Alan Jackson.
The award recognises Nashville acts that have achieved Top 30 singles, and Taylor has released 14 from July 2012 through June.
She has tallied up near 200 awards since signing with Big Machine Records in 2008.
These include seven Grammys, 12 Billboard Music awards, seven gongs from the Academy of Country Music and 11 American Music awards.
It was an eventful weekend as on Saturday the singer opened the Taylor Swift Education Centre at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville.

Taylor donated $4 million to the centre and she will be involved in an advisory capacity.
Meanwhile, after a series of failed relationships, the country pop darling recently admitted she is rethinking her approach to dating and boyfriends.
The superstar, who hasn't found love since her break up with One Direction's Harry Styles in January, told InStyle magazine: 'My friends tease me about the fact that if someone seems bad or shady, or like they have a secret, I find them incredibly interesting. I think it needs to change.'
Aside from Harry, the 23-year-old's long list of exes includes pop star Joe Jonas, singer John Mayer plus actor Jake Gyllenhaal.

She's also been linked to Twilight heartthrob Taylor Lautner and Conor Kennedy, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s son.
None of the relationships lasted more than a few months.
'That’s just a phase I’ve been in lately. I don’t think this should be how I proceed in life,' Taylor told InStyle.
Now she says she's focusing on herself, adding, 'It’s important to be self-aware about these things because you don’t want to end up with that guy.'
Taylor admitted that some good things came out of all her heartbreak, including hits such as I Knew You Were Trouble and We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.
'One thing I’ve learned that I’m proud of, drum roll, please, is when to walk away. I’ve had some short relationship because I know when to do that,' she says.
