But fast-forward a few years and she's the coolest Kardashian/Jenner export - with a reported net worth of £1.9m and brands clambering to tap into her magic.
Indeed, beauty giant Estée Lauder was quick to notice the budding supermodel's talent and snapped her up as its ambassador.

Posing in a plunging red suit, Kendall rocks a bold lip as she strides down the street on set. Speaking about her latest campaign, Kendall told FEMAIL: 'It was shot right after my birthday in LA so I was in great spirits!
'Also to be shooting in my home town - there's nothing better. We had shot in the streets of Downtown LA and went unnoticed for a bit (which is rare) however, at one point the paparazzi found us so we had to cover up with umbrellas for the remainder of the shoot.'

Discussing her debut fragrance campaign, the 19-year-old, who made her official debut as the new face of Estée Lauder in January, said: 'This is so important to me because I feel it really validates all my hard work.
'This is a huge moment in my career and it's something I've always wanted to do… My dreams are becoming my reality and I feel so lucky.'

Kendall made her official debut as the new face of Estée Lauder in January and starred in this striking shoot to promote the brand's new fragrance in June
Indeed, 19-year-old Kendall - who has graced the runway for Chanel and Fendi - recently revealed she was often mocked during go sees and had doors closed in her face by people who refused to work with her after she starred on the reality TV show Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
She told V Magazine: 'You have no idea how many doors closed on me and how many adults were either initially reluctant to take a chance working with me or who outright laughed at me behind my back.
'It was kind of hard because all I was doing was going on go-sees, trying my best to break into this business as a teenager.'
Judging by her latest role, times have certainly changed for the supermodel-in-the-making.
Describing the new £45 fragrance, the brand said: 'It's a true innovation in fragrance design, as complex and fascinating as the woman who inspires it'
