English actress Melanie Liburd is cast as yet another Red Priestess in HBO's Game Of Thrones
Carice Van Houten fans were seeing red on Thursday as Deadline Hollywood reported that a new actress, Melanie Liburd, will assume the role of Red Priestess on the HBO hit Game Of Thrones.
Yet all is not as it seems, added Vanity Fair, as there may well be two red capes in town.
It has also been reported 27-year-old Liburd will star as an additional Red Priestess, not a replacement for Van Houten's role.

Van Houten, the actress who plays Melisandre, the current Red Priestess, recently dropped hints that surprising things may be in store for her character.
Meanwhile, a season six audition tape, recently leaked online, featured Tyrion (46-year-old actor Peter Dinklage) and Varys (the 50-year-old Conleth Hill) meeting a “Red Woman” and discussing the situation in Mereen. In the finished version, this mysterious lady in red may well prove to be Melanie.

Liburd was recently spotted on the Game Of Thrones set in Spain, cloaked in red, and seemingly gathering followers around her.
Season six of the series is now in production.
The British up-and-comer Liburd recently appeared in The Grinder, with other past credits including Strike Back, Dracula and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
She has also been cast to star opposite Dylan McDermott in an untitled Kevin Williamson psychological thriller, currently in the works.
