And Lily-Rose Depp showed exactly why as she arrived at the launch party for Chanel's new Mademoiselle Privé Exhibition at London's Saatchi Gallery, along with her mother Vanessa Paradis on Monday night.
The 16-year-old model, whose father is actor Johnny Depp, looked ethereal in a flouncy lilac gown, which featured a stunning frilled-front with an embellished strap detail.

Lily-Rose, who is heavily-featured in the new exhibit, graced the red carpet like a seasoned-pro in her lilac satin gown.
The dress boasted a mullet hem with a tulle underlay, while the top of the gown was cut straight across with a heavily-embellished strap and cut across top.
She paired the delicate ensemble with a pair of black strappy heels with a bow-front across the toes and a thin black strap around the ankle.

The talented teen wore a dramatic sweep of liquid eyeliner across her lash-line while her lips were given a slick of muted taupe lipstick.
She wore just a delicate pair of hooped earrings with the look, allowing her shimmering gown to speak for itself.
Lily-Rose later topped off the outfit with a chic black blazer which tied the dark shoes into the ensemble fluidly.

Earlier in the day the mother-daughter duo were seen arriving at the gallery for a sneak peek of the gallery which celebrates both the creativity of Chanel's founder Coco Chanel and the genius of current boss, Karl Lagerfeld.
They sported wholly more dressed down ensembles with Lily-Rose looking lovely in an oversized navy jacket worn over a patterned minidress and semi-opaque tights.
Her mother Vanessa - who was in a relationship with Hollywood actor Depp from 1998 to 2011 - opted for a laid-back look, wearing skinny jeans and a white lacy blouse.

The free showcase, which opens to the public on Tuesday, features a replica of Coco's Rue Cambon apartment and iconic couture pieces from some of the fashion house's most famous collections.
Lily-Rose and Vanessa are featured in the exhibition, modelling the Bijoux de Diamants jewellery collection in series of portraits alongside Lagerfeld's muses including Keira Knightley and Julianne Moore.
The fashion maven is celebrating the grand opening of the immersive experience, which also boasts a room full of hedgerows inspired by the stunning gardens of the Château de Versailles.

Meanwhile, Lily-Rose's father Johnny recently confessed he was worried about his daughter, who has landed her first film role as well as a high-profile eyewear campaign for Chanel.
'To be honest, I'm quite worried,' the three-time Oscar nominee admitted to Germany's Gala magazine.
Depp - who also has a 13-year-old son Jack with his former partner Vanessa - said: 'I wasn't expecting all this to happen to Lily-Rose, especially not at this age.'
'But it's her passion and she's having fun', he added of the talented teenager.
