Chris Evans agrees former Chicago lead Miss Van Outen shouldn't compete in Strictly Come Dancing

'I love Denise... but she is a professional dancer': Chris Evans agrees former Chicago lead Miss Van Outen shouldn't compete in Strictly Come Dancing

Outspoken Chris Evans thinks Denise Van Outen should be axed from Strictly Come Dancing.
The Radio 2 DJ believes Denise has an unfair advantage over other contestants in the BBC One show after appearing in West End musicals.
Discussing an article written by Daily Mail columnist Sandra Parsons, Chris asked: 'Should Denise Van Outen be allowed to appear on Strictly as she's appeared in a musical actually dancing?'

He said: 'I think she's [Parsons] got a point, don't get me wrong I love Denise by the way and who wouldn't want to see Denise lighting up our screens on a Saturday night on BBC One's hit show Strictly?
Continuing the Warrington born presenter added: 'But she is a professional actress/singer/dancer.
'Isn't it a story of aspiration from the beginning, the seeds of learning whether you do or don't have two left feet, to perhaps better yourself and becoming good if not better than you ever thought you could be?'

Denise, 38, starred as Roxie Hart in Chicago in the West End and Broadway musical - but despite this rates her dancing skills at 'four out of ten'.
The blonde beauty said: 'I can do the basics - thanks to theatre school - but I haven't danced properly for 15 years.
She continued: 'I'm most nervous about the fact people will think I can dance already because of my stage career.'
The mother-of-one also played hairdresser Paulette in 'Legally Blonde The Musical' back in 2010 after giving birth to her daughter Betsy with husband Lee Mead.
Evans has already angered TV bosses after he took to his Twitter page this weekend and revealed that cricketer Michael Vaughan would be taking part in the show before the official announcement.
A source told The Sun newspaper: 'He's supposed to be a BBC man. What's his problem here?'

Girls Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh regularly showed off her fancy footwork in several music videos alongside her bandmates.
Also the 30-year-old singer took to the stage last October as Princess Fiona in Shrek: The Musical.
