The Hunger Games are back! The odds are ever in Jennifer Lawrence's favour as she kicks off filming for Catching Fire

She portrays one of the feistiest fictional heroines of modern times and recently inked a $10million deal to do so.

So life is just peachy for Hollywood’s golden girl Jennifer Lawrence right now.

The actress was spotted today on set of the second instalment of The Hunger Games, Catching Fire.

Jennifer, 22, kicked off filming as Katniss Everdeen yesterday and the movie is currently shooting on location in Atlanta, Georgia.

Today the starlet was feeling shy and was seen covering up in a heavy duty black jacket as she walked from her trailer to the set.

Jennifer had her hood up and was flanked by bodyguards, but she was clearly excited to get to work as a girlish grin was seen on her face.

Yesterday Jennifer was spotted on the set for the first time in full Katniss gear.

It seems it could be arena scenes that are being filmed to begin with as the actress dressed in black and grey workout wear.

Her recently dyed brunette locks were styled into the braid Katniss famously sports throughout the trilogy.

Jennifer was seen opening the door to a trailer on which the names ‘Peeta’ and ‘Katniss’ had been scrawled.

Josh Hutcherson, who plays Katniss’ love interest Peeta Mellark, was also seen on set yesterday.

The 19-year-old was dressed casually in a white T-shirt, jeans and a tan leather belt, and was spotted going over his script.

But when he had a free moment, Josh didn’t waste any time and headed over to chat to some pretty new female castmates.

As yet, Liam Hemsworth, who plays Katniss’ best friend and other love interest Gale, has not been seen on set.

New cast members include Philip Seymour Hoffman, Amanda Plummer, Jeffrey Wright and Jena Malone, while Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks and Lenny Kravitz will be reprising their roles.

The first movie, based on the bestselling book by Suzanne Collins, was the standout hit film of the year and raked in a whopping $700 million worldwide.

While the photos of the cast getting stuck into shooting will have fans eager for the second instalment to hit cinemas soon, they will unfortunately have to wait until a scheduled release date of November 22, 2013.
