SCD's Denise Van Outen admits she doesn't know why the Chris Evans has picked on her

'Chris Evans is speaking completely out of turn': SCD's Denise Van Outen admits she doesn't know why the DJ has picked on her

Chris Evans recently admitted that he doesn't think Denise Van Outen should compete in Strictly Come Dancing, but she disagrees.
The 36-year-old star feels that the radio DJ has picked on her, as fellow contestants such as Kimberley Walsh also has dancing experience.
'Chris Evans is speaking completely out of turn, and also I don’t really know why he has chosen to pick on me because there are other contestants who have similar experience,' Denise told the Daily Mirror.

'I think it’s harsh, and a bit rude really. Kimberley’s just done Shrek in the West End and she’s in a girl band who dance. I just think it’s really harsh to suggest that I should be dumped from the show. If he’d watched it he would know that several past competitors have been in exactly the same position as me.'
Earlier this week, Chris said that he believes Denise has an unfair advantage over other contestants in the BBC One show after appearing in West End musicals.
Discussing an article written by Daily Mail columnist Sandra Parsons, Chris asked: 'Should Denise Van Outen be allowed to appear on Strictly as she's appeared in a musical actually dancing?'

The 46-year-old who used to front the show which Denise is most famous for The Big Breakfast agreed with the comments that Parsons made in her article.
He said: 'I think she's [Parsons] got a point, don't get me wrong I love Denise by the way and who wouldn't want to see Denise lighting up our screens on a Saturday night on BBC One's hit show Strictly?
Continuing the Warrington born presenter added: 'But she is a professional actress/singer/dancer.

'Isn't it a story of aspiration from the beginning, the seeds of learning whether you do or don't have two left feet, to perhaps better yourself and becoming good if not better than you ever thought you could be?'
However, Denise completely disagrees with Chris' comments and instead is looking forward to strutting her stuff on the dance floor each weekend, and getting to show off her body in the glitzy attire.
'I won’t be shy!' she said. 'It’s the one place you can get away with clothes like this. The first show was a short, spangly number – I’m absolutely going to embrace the whole thing, I won’t hold back.'
