They may be covered in icing, sprinkles, candy and good intentions, but there's just something about these cakes that's gone terribly wrong that no amount of chocolate can fix.

The half-baked designs of good food gone bad have been compiled by the hilarious blog Cake Wrecks, devoted to the sweetest disasters ever seen for the enjoyment of anyone who has ever struggled to smear icing on a baked good.

'Cake Wrecks' are classified as any dessert that is 'unintentionally sad, silly, creepy or inappropriate' that has been known to cause unintentional chortling.
