Jennifer Lawrence shows Nicholas Hoult what he’s missing as she wows on the Golden Globes red carpet…and that’s what she looks like with a cold

She may have just split up with her boyfriend Nicholas Hoult but Jennifer Lawrence isn’t going to let that ruin her awards season.

The actress made sure all eyes were on her as she walked the red carpet at the Golden Globes on Sunday night in a striking orange gown.

Rather unbelievably the 22-year-old had come down with the flu ahead of her appearance although that wasn’t apparent looking at her.

Speaking about her full and strapless gown the Silver Linings Playbook star said: ‘This is Dior haute couture.’

But she continued: ‘I don't really know what haute means, but I had to say it.’

Wearing her hair off her face so her dress could have maximum impact, Jennifer looked every inch a Hollywood star.

While the dress was cinched in at her tiny waist, she accessorised with drop earrings and a small clutch bag.

Speaking to E! presenter Ryan Seacrest, she said: ‘I don't want to shake your hand, I have the flu. Sorry!’

And when asked about how whether she is in denial about her award season recognition, she said: ‘Well, no, that's proven to be pretty impossible,

‘None of it sinks in. It's all just such good news that it takes a minute to kind of sink in. But not denial.’

Jennifer is nominated for a Best Actress gong for her role in Silver Linings Playbook, while her co-star Bradley Cooper is up for Best Actor.
