Period Provocateur! Helena Bonham Carter poses seductively in vintage costume for photo shoot in North London

So it's no surprise to see Helena Bonham Carter star in a fashion shoot which incorporates this aspect of her onscreen personality.
And looking like she'd just walked off the set of one of her husband's film, the actress posed to eerily seductive effect in a selection of period costumes outside a North London pub.

The Les Misérables star sprawled across the pub benches of a public house near her home in Primrose Hill.
Her gorgeous curves spilled out of a number of period bustiers and dresses that enhanced the pale glow of her alabaster skin.
A flash of red lipstick brightened Helena's face as though she were a character from an Anne Rice novel.

But in between provocative poses, the 46-year old filled up on unlimited cups of tea to warm her against the freezing February temperatures.
And luckily, the vintage costume came with a thick brocade cape she could wrap up in as the photographer checked the captured images.
A wardrobe team was there to help Helena switch into different outfits, from a black and white bodice and skirt, to a layered ballgown with a printed monotone dress coat.

One piece of costume that remained throughout was a vintage lace veil attached to a thick black bow that sat to one side of her face.
Framing her classic features, Helena could have been a Vaudeville star from the Golden Age.
However her historically-themed photoshoot was interrupted briefly by a comedic punter enjoying a pint at the pub.

Comedian Harry Enfield spotted the actress and, ever the funny man, attempted to make Helena laugh by pulling a few faces himself.
Obviously not offended by the attention, the Sweeney Todd actress welcomed Harry with a warm embrace.
The 46-year-old recently announced she was taking a break from films to focus on her family.
Helena who has two children with her director husband Tim Burton, 54, said: 'We are trying to be parents, which is harder than anything else.'
