Mezzo in a maxi: Katherine Jenkins looks elegant as she hides her bikini body in chic yellow dress after pool day in Miami

We're used to seeing her looking lovely in sleek dresses as she takes to the red carpet.
And it seems Katherine Jenkins isn't gong to ditch the glamour just because she's on holiday in Miami.
The 32-year-old looked the picture of elegance as she slipped on a bright yellow maxi dress following a day by the pool on Thursday.

While in the UK she has been preparing to run the London Marathon in April, the opera star made the most of the chance to take the day off and relax.
After resting the possible aches brought on by her strenuous workout regime Katherine slipped on an elegant yellow and white maxi dress by Melissa Odabash.
While the pretty dress covered all of her legs it was low cut in the chest area revealing some of her tanned skin.

Underneath the former Dancing with the Stars contestant presumably still wore her two-piece purple bikini and as she walked the silhouette of her slim figure could be seen.
As she sunbathed, chatting away with her female companions, Katherine wore her hair off her face in a ponytail.
However as she left the pool area she wore her blonde hair down and despite the fact she had been subject to sun and possibly chlorine all day, it looked great as it fell in loose curls grazing her shoulders.

In her hand she carried a taupe Birkin bag which looked like it had plenty in it, including presumably some suntan cream to stop her burning.
She also seemed to be carrying a bridal magazine - as her sister Laura is currently planning her wedding - and accessorised with a pretty gold bangle.
Katherine looked like she'd got more than her share of vitamin D for the day as she smiled sweetly as she left, while her eyes were covered with a pair of dark sunglasses.

As she navigated a step the Welsh star lifted up her skirt slightly revealing her high wedge shoes underneath.
During her visit to the States Katherine will be performing alongside opera-star Andrea Bocelli, she tweeted: 'Miami bound for another performance with the big man Andrea Bocelli on Friday in Fort Lauderdale #USA #Sunshine.'
On April 21, Katherine will run 26 miles when she takes part in the London Marathon.

The singer will be running with the aim of raising £5,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, who cared for her late father Selwyn when he was battling cancer.
Writing on her JustGiving fundraising page, she said: 'My cousin Hannah & I have decided to run the London Marathon in April in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support!
'Back in 1995, my father Selwyn was diagnosed with lung cancer and the Macmillan nurses came to our home to help before he passed away in 1996. We saw firsthand the impact that cancer has on a family, and the valuable support Macmillan provides.'

Since splitting from long-term love Gethin Jones a year ago, the classical singer has been linked with a string of eligible bachelors.
But it has emerged the star has been dating strapping rugby-playing Adam Bidwell.
She and Cambridge-educated Adam met through mutual friends in London a few weeks ago and are already said to be smitten.
‘This is the first guy since Gethin who Katherine has gone out with, so she is taking it slow,’ says a friend.

Brighton-born Bidwell, 37, a sales manager for financial firm Investec, is a favoured member of Prince Harry’s entourage. He was famously photographed with the Prince in a Jacuzzi during Harry’s wild trip to Las Vegas last year.
‘Katherine knows Adam likes to have fun and all about his party past, but they have lots of other things in common like food, travel and music,’ says the friend.
