Nicole Scherzinger and Tamera Foster wear matching spandex at X Factor rehearsals as the acts hit the dance floor ahead of 'Disco Week'

Get your skates on! Nicole Scherzinger and Tamera Foster wear matching spandex at X Factor rehearsals as the acts hit the dance floor ahead of 'Disco Week'

Nicole Scherzinger joined young protégé Tamera Foster at the roller-disco this week when The X Factor contestants gamely rehearsed for Saturday night’s live show.
Indeed, the seventies will be celebrated in all their platform heeled glory this weekend when Disco Week falls upon Wembley’s Fountain Studio’s, where the remaining nine acts will be tripping the light fantastic to a string of anthems from the decade that brought us bell bottoms and bad hair.
Tripping appeared to be the order of the day on Wednesday, when this year’s hopefuls gathered to rehearse the obligatory group performance that opens the show.

Sporting roller skates and colourful leg warmers, a very cautious looking X Factor crop worked their way across the polished wooden floor of a local dance studio as they attempted to perfect their moves.
But while many of them looked a little unsure as they took to the floor, spandex clad Tamera and her fellow girls, Hannah Barrett and Abi Alton, appeared to be full of confidence.
Their bravura may well have had something to do with the presence of Nicole, who couldn’t resist joining in the fun by sporting an afro wig, sparkly semi-sheer vest top and spandex leggings similar to those worn by the youngest girl in her group.

At one point the entire group formed a makeshift chain as they glided across the floor, tentatively holding on to one another for support.
After a cautious start the acts appeared to master their skates, with Sam Callahan managing a few acrobatic jumps while Luke Friend skated across the studio on one foot.
Rough Copy member Kazeem appeared to match Nicole by sporting his own comedy afro, while Sam Bailey went one better by wearing a bright green variant.

The nine acts will perform a series of disco classics when the live show kicks off this Saturday – and their song choices were recently unveiled, more than 24-hours before proceedings get underway.
Viewers can expect the show’s biggest voices to be tested, with Sam Bailey – Sharon Osbourne’s last remaining act – performing Donna Summer and Barbara Streisand track No More Tears.
Hannah Barrett will also be hitting the high notes when she performs Jocelyn Brown’s Somebody Else’s Guy, while Tamera Foster will sing Wishing On A Star by Rose Royce.

Fun loving Kingsland Road have been given Blame In On The Boogie by The Jackson 5, and the Jackson theme continues with Scottish teen Nicholas McDonald, who will take to the stage with Michael Jackson’s Rock With You.
Rough Copy have been given an rough hand over the last two weeks with some questionable song choices, but the trend for urban interpretations of cheesy classics should change on Saturday when they perform Earth, Wind And Fire classic September.

Elsewhere supermarket worker Abi Alton is hoping to win over the judging panel with her own unique version of Gloria Gaynor’s I Will Survive.
