Holly Willoughby, Claudia Winkleman and the Linekers lead the way at Jonathan Ross's spooktacular Halloween bash

Holly Willoughby, Claudia Winkleman and the Linekers lead the way at Jonathan Ross's spooktacular Halloween bash

His Hampstead home was transformed into a ghoulish castle on Wednesday as Jonathan Ross prepared in earnest for his annual Halloween celebration.
The 52-year-old was on hand to witness the mammoth undertaking, during which fake cobwebs and gargoyles were draped across the exterior wallks ahead of what promised to be a star-studded affair.
No doubt Ross was hoping to trump last year's celebration which was attended by the likes of Gwen Stefani, Stephen Fry, Bryan Ferry and Chloe Moretz.

Indeed, as the witching hour loomed on Thursday the presenter stepped out as Jareth from 1986 fantasy epic Labyrinth - a role played by his idol, David Bowie.
Ross was in high spirits as he greeted guests, all of them dressed suitably for the occasion, outside the property before the fun got underway.
The presenter had clearly stocked up on the absolute essentials ahead of Thursday''s festivities and he looked on with a gleeful grin as an entire bucket of Haribo sweets was doled out to lucky trick-or-treaters.
Amongst those in attendance were supermodel Kate Moss and husband Jamie Hince, who paid tribute to Mexico's Día de Muertos national holiday, a tradition celebrated by various cultures around the world that sees participants apply skeleton make-up.
Kate's look was created by professional make-up artist Amy Wright, and the unique twist - in stark contrast to the various Halloween stock characters on show throughout the night - turned heads as the couple sashayed inside the Hamsptead bash.

Elsewhere Professor Green and Millie Mackintosh embraced a common theme by dressing as Gomez and Morticia from The Addams family.
The newlyweds were almost unrecognizable as they paid a brief visit to the bash, with former Made In Chelsea star Millie sporting the racy black outfit she tweeted an image of earlier that night, along with the caption: 'Excited!'
The pair posed for photos before making their way inside, where they were joined by an array of ghoulishly attired celebrity pals of genial chat show hist Ross - amongst them his former They Think It's All Over co-panelist Gary Lineker, who arrived with wife Danielle.

Stephen Merchant also made an effort by arriving as Kane – the character played by John Hurt in 1979 movie Alien.
Kane befell a famously gruesome fate, and his bloody end was duly evident on the beanpole comedian's chest on Thursday evening.
Film characters were in abundance on the night, with Simon Pegg appearing to draw inspiration from one of his most successful films by arriving as a zombie from Shaun Of The Dead.

Earlier this week the front of the house was covered in large cobwebs and creepy gargoyles, while the windows were boarded up with bars and ivy.
There was a number of pumpkins sat outside the front door in true Halloween style, while the normally white door was hidden by scaffolding.
The star tweeted at the weekend to say: 'We are compiling our Halloween playlist and reminiscing on how good Mighty Boosh were. Nice way to spend a Saturday!'

Speaking at a Halloween event at the weekend, Jonathan told the Crawley and Horley Observer: 'The kids enjoy Halloween and so do we. Every year we throw our own Halloween party and create our own spooky maze in our back garden'.
If the impressive surroundings weren't enough for guests at last year's bash, they were also welcomed by performers on stilts dressed in scary costumes.
Children who visited the property trick or treating were rewarded with candy floss, which left them looking very happy indeed.
Gwen Stefani arrived looking like a zombie Sandy from Grease while QI host Fry wore a noose around his neck and a flamboyant, gold baroque outfit.
