Kendall Jenner discusses her 'competitive' Kardashian upbringing as she poses for Vogue

'Workaholic is a good word in our house': Kendall Jenner discusses her 'competitive' Kardashian upbringing as she poses for Vogue

Kendall Jenner, the new global face of Estee Lauder, credits her no-nonsense upbringing in the Kardashian clan as the main reason for her meteoric rise to supermodel stardom.
The 19-year-old reality star, who features in the December issue of American Vogue, reveals that growing up, her manager-mom Kris and former-Olympian father Bruce Jenner - stars of Keeping Up with the Kardashians - would wake her up three hours before school to cram in more studying.
'I learned early that being a perfectionist and providing quality was the only way to do business,' she told the publication. 'Workaholic is a good word in our house.'

Kendall, the half-sister of Kim, Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian, has consistently claimed she's had to work harder than her model peers in order to shrug off connotations attached to her all-star heritage, and also admits she is a 'very competitive person.'
And far too tied-up with work for a boyfriend, apparently.
'It’s a cliché, but I genuinely am too busy,' she claims. 'Or should I say picky?'

She also admits that she 'enjoys' letting fans into her colorful world via social media, remarking: 'Instagram is my edit of my life.'
And a lucrative one at that. Since Saturday, when Miss Jenner's Estee Lauder contract became public, the brand's Instagram page gained an incredible 50,000 followers, bringing the total up to more than 316,000.
The sharp increase only seems to prove just how much sway the teen - who has a very impressive 15million-plus followers of her own - possesses.

Speaking to Nightline recently of her growing success, the brunette said:
'I would always be looking at these supermodels, they were just so amazing, they were like superheroes.
'I want to be some little girl's superhero. I want to be the best role model I can be to a little girl or a little boy or to anybody.'
