Out: Only The Young are voted off The X Factor on Saturday night
Lauren Platt was the first act to survive the vote, impressing with her performance of Whitney's How Do I Know?
Ben Haenow was the first Over 25 act to make it through with his mediocre rendition of I Will Always Love You, arguably Whitney's most famous cover.
Andrea Faustini's performance of I Have Nothing impressed the audience and viewers at home to get through to the next round, despite Simon's criticism.
Stereo Kicks also made it through thanks to their Elton John cover Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me. Fleur East and Stevi Ritchie were left with Only The Young before Dermot O'Leary announced the band were out.
What a joke: Novelty act Stevi Ritchie has survived another day on the singing competition
Sad face: The band looked disappointed with the result but will continue to work hard
'We've had the best time of our life,' the band said. 'We're so proud, we did our best every single week.'
'They're on The X Factor tour, they just need a record deal, this is just the beginning,' Louis said of his act.
The Irish judge only has Stereo Kicks in the competition, with Mel B and Cheryl Fernandez-Versini each with one act - Andrea and Lauren - and Simon will three.
Ready to succeed: Louis Walsh said his act will be hitting the charts in no time
The second act will be eliminated in Sunday night's Results Show on ITV1 at 8pm.
Fleur is the new favourite to X Factor, usurping Andrea Faustini according to William Hill. She is 7/4 ahead of Andrea at 7/4 and Ben at 4/1.
'Andrea has been favourite for what seems like an eternity but he may well have let it slip with just a couple of hurdles to jump,' said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
Home time: The band will still be performing in The X Factor tour
