Strictly's Pixie Lott stuns in gold playsuit as she praises brave Claudia Winkleman after daughter's accident
The Nasty hitmaker took to the stage at London's Under The Bridge as she carries on with her day job in between Strictly training
Pixie Lott has praised brave mum Claudia Winkleman after her daughter's horrific Halloween accident.
The 23-year-old star, who is one of the favourites to win Strictly Come Dancing, has spoken about how the contestants found out Claudia's eight-year-old daughter Matilda had been left badly burned while trick-or-treating.
Claudia has now returned to the show after a three-week absence and Pixie admits it must have been difficult for her to come back during such a tough time for her family.
Pixie told Mirror Celeb: "Everyone loves Claudia so everyone was so happy to have her back. We just knew when she didn't turn up one Saturday, we didn't know what it was, they just said it was family issues.
"Everyone has been very supportive. She did so well last week to come back, it must have been a very tough time. She's such an amazing lady."
The blonde pop star took to the stage last night at a secret gig at London's Under The Bridge to promote her greatest hits album, Platinum Pixie, which she has been recording while also taking part in Strictly.
She said: "I don't really see it as a greatest hits, hopefully there will be greater hits to come. It's more a collection of fan favourites, they wrote in on Twitter their favourite songs, and a couple of Christmas treats. It's nothing more than that.
"Everyone has been like, 'What is happening?' But it doesn't mean I'm stopping the music. My album in January is my fourth and we've already got the sessions booked, we're going to go to New York and LA.
"On my last album I wanted it to be all organic and not do any collaborations but this album I want to do more of an up-tempo vibe and do some collaborations. I love a lot of the British talent, Ed Sheeran, Disclosure, Rudimental ... I think we have a lot of homegrown talent here."
The gorgeous star was supported on the night by dozens of fans, hunky boyfriend Oliver Cheshire, Strictly stars and pal Tom Pearce from The Only Way Is Essex.
She said: "I loved it. I love being on stage with my band and having amazing fans in the crowd singing along. It feels nice to have an intimate gig.
"There are so many great memories. My first song and music video for Mama Do was the best, I think that's where I felt something had changed. Everything happening for the first time."
Pixie looked incredible on stage at her album launch in a shimmering gold playsuit and heeled black boots, showing off her shapely legs and amazing figure after weeks of gruelling training for Strictly.
Asked if she thought she might win the BBC talent show, she said: "I don't know. We'll have to wait and see but I'm loving it. It's amazing to be able to learn dances I would never have had the opportunity to learn.
"It's a once in a lifetime opportunity and I do want to use those dances that I've touched on next year in music videos, it would be a waste not to."
