'I prayed for big boobs!' claims Katy Perry and reveals she lost her virginity at 16 in racy GQ shoot

'I prayed for big boobs!' Katy Perry claims her assets really ARE God-given... as preacher's daughter reveals she lost her virginity at 16 in racy GQ shoot

Growing up as the daughter of travelling preachers it was only natural for Katy Perry to say her prayers each night.
But the devotions of the pre-teen Katy would surely have made her religious parents blush. For despite her tender age the 11-year-old was praying for 'big' breasts.
'I lay on my back one night and looked down at my feet, and I prayed to God,' she told GQ, on whose February cover she stars.

'I prayed for them!' Katy Perry revealed she lay in bed and asked God to give her larger breasts when she was 11, in her new GQ interview

'I said, "God, will you please let me have boobs so big that I can't see my feet when I'm lying down?"'
'God answered my prayers. I had no clue they would fall into my armpits eventually.'
Katy also reveals she lost her virginity at 16, in the front seat of her then-boyfriend's  Volvo sedan while listening to Jeff Buckley's album Grace.
'Love that record so much,' she adds.
The revelation comes as Katy shows off her figure in a series of revealing shots for GQ.

Talking to the magazine Katy reveals that God did indeed grant her prayers.
'I’ve never had any plastic surgery,' she says proudly. 'Not a nose, not a chin, not a cheek, not a tit. So my messages of self-empowerment are truly coming from an au naturel product.'
Despite her revealing photoshoot Katy is a good girl at heart.
'The weed - I'm not friends with it,' she explained. 'I can't do that stuff. I'd be like in the corner: "Are you trying to kill me?"'

One failed marriage, to comedian Russell Brand, later and she is happily dating John Mayer.
'I think that I needed to grow up,' says Katy.
'I’m just having a wonderful experience with a wonderful guy. There’s no rush.'
Aside from her romantic life, the singer also talks about her political beliefs.
She is famously a supporter of Barack Obama, playing at fundraisers for the President.
'I see everything through a spiritual lens,' she said. 'I believe in a lot of astrology.
'I believe in aliens. I look up into the stars and I imagine: How self-important are we to think that we are the only life-form?
'I mean, if my relationship with Obama gets any better, I’m going to ask him that question. It just hasn’t been appropriate yet.'
Talking about her support for the President, she added: 'I might have won Wisconsin for him... Actually, I didn’t do too much, but he called on me a couple of times. Which was very nice.'
Katy was criticised earlier this year for dressing up as a geisha to perform at the American Music Awards.
She explained: 'All I was trying to do is just give a very beautiful performance about a place that I have so much love for and find so much beauty in, and that was exactly where I was coming from, with no other thought besides it.'
