The best of British: Michelle Dockery looks magnificent in monochrome as she leads the Downton Abbey girls at the SAG Awards

Downton Abbey actress Michelle Dockery wore a black and white tuxedo-inspired dress to the 20th annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, in Los Angeles.
The stunning monochrome dress is a J.Mendel garment, and the 32-year-old oozed confidence and style as she posed on the red carpet.
Speaking to E!, Michelle said: 'It's like a tuxedo but a dress so I loved it. I have never worn J Mendel before.'

With a plunging front, two stitched-on pockets and a slit up the front, it was a daring choice of dress for Michelle.
The strong black panels of the perfectly cut dress contrasted with the white edging around the chest line, and the perfect pale of the star's skin.
A lick of red lipstick was all the outfit needed to help bring out the actress's pretty features; she tied up her brunette locks so as not to distract from her overall look.
The 32-year-old was spotted hanging out with Jeremy Irons, who was born on the Isle of Wight, as they both made their way down the red carpet talking to various members of the press.

The 58-year-old Scottish actress was flattered when E! red carpet presenter Giuliana Rancic praised the colour of her dress, which was a very similar shade to her own.
Phyllis said: 'Oh I must tell people that! I'm wearing radiant orchid!'

The 68-year-old actress smiled for the cameras as they snapped pictures of her in the heavy black gown.
Not swamping her body but helping to highlight the contours, the gown had thick pleats that folded neatly around her waist.
The actress held up one of the folds to flaunt the intricate delicacy of the embroidery upon the thick, black fabric.
Emma Thompson proved age is nothing but a number as she turned back the years in a flattering little black dress.

She said: 'The blonde is a wig. It is just an illusion, I wish it was mine, but alas. I just don't feel my character on the show is a good example of a blonde having more fun.
'I had an interesting moment with some terrible highlights when I was 12 but that was it.'
