No gilding the Lily! Ms Collins aces Hollywood Stand Up To Cancer gala in stunningly simple tuxedo playsuit
With her star rising rapidly, Lily Collins is always keen to stand out from the crowd in Hollywood, especially as far as her outfits are concerned.
But the actress showed the less is more on Tuesday whilst attending the Hollywood Stands Up To Cancer event in Culver City, California.
The 24-year-old worked her black magic over the red carpet in a simple but effective long-sleeved lacy playsuit with sequined lapel that resembled a tuxedo.

The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones star let the garment do the talking by keeping her accessories simple with a pair of elegant sandals and minimal jewellery.
And she accentuated her porcelain complexion with her trademark scarlet lipstick as her short highlighted hair brushed above her shoulders.
Lily's appearance at the event - hosted by Jim Toth, Reese Witherspoon, and the Entertainment Industry Foundation - was a far cry from how she looked a few days prior for a West Hollywood shoot.
Simple yet chic: The star teamed the garment with minimal jewellery, including a few rings and costume-inspired studded earrings
With her incredibly pale skin, dark hair featuring red highlights, heavy eyebrows, and deep red lips, she perfectly embodied a Gothic girl.
However, while the stunning actress may have looked the part, her surroundings were in stark contrast.
The shoot took place outside the decidedly cheery Cabo Cantina Mexican bar on the famed Sunset Strip.
Her trademark look: As usual the actress accentuated her thick eyebrows with pencil and her plump pout with scarlet lipstick
The daughter of musician Phil Collins will next appear on screen in the lead role of Rosie Dunne in rom-com Love, Rosie.
The movie, which is currently in post-production, also stars Bradley Cooper's British model girlfriend, Suki Waterhouse, 22, in only her second film role to date.
She will soon reprise the character Clary Fray in The Mortal Instruments: City Of Ashes, alongside former boyfriend Jamie Campbell Bower as Jace Wayland.
The film is the second instalment in the series - which is based on the six books written by Cassandra Clare, the latest of which will be published on May 27 - though the remaining four novels have yet to be confirmed for big-screen adaptations.
That's a new look for her: Lily embraced her inner-Goth as she took part in a photo shoot in West Hollywood on Saturday
