Tears on her pillow: Kylie Minogue gets emotional as she sends home flop acts on The Voice
After more than two decades in the business, Kylie Minogue is normally one of pop's most composed characters.
But the 45 year-old star is reduced to tears when she's confronted with some difficult decisions on the latest installment of The Voice, this weekend.
The Australian singer can be seen crying on Saturday night's episode as she embraces an act who fails to impress the judges of the hit BBC show.
Emotional: Kylie Minogue has been struggling to maintain her composure on this week's show
According to the Daily Star, when a young man breaks down on stage after failing to deliver an ideal performance, Kylie, 45, rushes to comfort him and cries too.
'That was so moving. I need to hug you,' she says. 'Don’t beat yourself up. We all mess up. I messed up not turning for you.'
When a second, seasoned performer fails to make her turn her chair, she gets upset once again - later admitting she feels 'emotionally pummelled.'

The emotional outburst is a stark contrast to her recent flirtations with contestants.
Last week night fans criticised her flirty exchange with contestant Leo Ihenacho, 31, after he performed Holding Back The Years.
Appearing flustered, she could be seen giggling and blushing before telling him: ‘All I can say is, we would have a good time together.’ One viewer wrote on Twitter: ‘Kylie flirting on BBC1 for the good of her next album, I hope it works’, while another said: ‘Kylie is just so cringe on this.’
Upset: Kylie Minogue has been getting teary during tough decisions on the talent show
Interestingly, James Harvey of PR company the Outside Organisation said Kylie's involvement in the show is part of a wider comeback campaign after a series of flop songs.
‘Her recent songs haven’t been hits. Now she has signed with Roc Nation, which is much edgier and cooler, so it would seem this is the next chapter in her musical career.
‘By doing a show like The Voice she is lining herself up alongside the likes of Tom Jones and is outlining her music cred. The salary, for a music artist of her stature, is not amazing, which would suggest her appearance is part of a bigger picture.
‘The show will be watched by people of all ages, once again making her fresh and current with new audiences. This is Kylie’s way of being put back on the map.’
Also on tonight’s show is former Emmerdale actress Kelsey-Beth Crossley, who reveals a dramatic weight loss.
The actress, 21, who played Scarlett Nicholls on the ITV soap, is hoping Kylie will back her. She told the Daily Star: 'We are soap stars who sing. She knows what she is talking about.'
